Tours in Washington, DC 

For those constituents visiting the D.C. area, I am pleased to help you make arrangements. We submit tour requests, but it is up to the different tour locations whether or not they can offer you a tour. If you would please submit a tour request form, we will process your request and let you know whether it was approved or denied. If your request is approved, we will get in touch about the next steps.

 Academy Nominations

Each member of Congress, either in the House of Representatives or the Senate, is allowed a total of five appointees in each service academy. For each vacancy, I am allowed to nominate ten individuals. Learn more about the Service Academy Nomination process.

Artistic Discovery

Digital TV

On February 17, 2009, all full-power broadcast television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting on analog airwaves and begin broadcasting only in digital. Digital broadcasting will allow stations to offer improved picture and sound quality and additional channels. What is the Digital Television (DTV) Transition?

Federal Agencies- Getting Help

If you can't get an answer from a federal agency in a timely fashion, or if you feel you have been treated unfairly, my office may be able to help resolve a problem or get you the information you need. While we cannot guarantee you a favorable outcome, we will do our best to help you receive a fair and timely response to your problem. I run an internship program accepting motivated and distinguished college students interested in learning about the operations of a congressional office. In addition to general office support, interns assist my staff with constituent services, and light research. Interns are also encouraged to attend hearings, lectures, and seminars available in Congress and around the Hill.

Kids

Page Program

High school juniors are eligible work as Pages in the U.S. House of Representatives for a fall or spring. There is no GPA requirement for Pages who work during the summer semester. While serving the House, Pages live in Washington D.C., at the Page Residence Hall, a few blocks away from the Capitol. During the academic year, Pages attend classes at the House Page School.
